About Bres Sibley

Bres Sibley was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, steeped in Western imagery and the Sonoran Desert.

He began his education at Harvard University as a creative writer, but after some time away in a sheet metal factory, returned as an artist. He graduated in 2023 with a bachelor of arts degree in Art, Film, and Visual Studies. He now studies animation at the Estonian Academy of Arts as a second-year master’s student.

Bres Sibley has done animation work with the theater production company PearlDamour for their 2022 show “Ocean Filibuster,” commissioned by the American Repertory Theater, and experimental live performance work for the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.

He lead introductory animation workshops with Century Bridge International Education in schools throughout China.
